2013 saw the first Decorating London van decorated with our ‘international’ company logo. The logo itself began life as a ‘d and l’ merged into one in a single colour.
It was actually designed by a young Brazilian graphic designer based in Sao Paulo. Later a London based British designer took the logo and separated it into two colours to give greater clarity and to emphasise the use of colour in our decorating work. Finally a Polish London based designer added the final touch to the logo – a paint roller – to graphically illustrate what we do. Our strap line ‘Transforming Spaces’ on the sides on the van was actually the idea of a Unilever marketing director based out in Singapore.
So whilst Decorating London is very much a London based brand, its origins are truly international. The van itself of course is German.
Hopefully you will see our vans more and more around town in the future.
